Achieving or accomplishing set goals is an important aspect of any training. Improving your Mobility and increasing your Strength will ultimately improve your overall Performance.

These are our go to sessions that combine strength and high intensity interval training and are run several times throughout each day. If you’re lucky, you might just get the chance to train with the Powerhouse Gym Team (please don’t judge :-P). These classes are easily scaled and therefore are ideal for either the newbie, regular or Uber fit crowd.

Can’t find the right time to do the classes you want and still want to use our great facilities? Or are you a lone wolf that loves their own gym time? Well this option is perfect for you! Get in there and do what you do best, we aren’t going to stop you.

Beginners/Strength

If you were fit when you were 20 and are now lazy, fat or fed up, looking in the mirror and wondering what happened, then this is a great class for you.  Whether it’s learning how to lift for the first time or a general refresher, our PT’s will have you hitting PB’s in no time.  Of course there is always a little cardio taster at the end.  You will train with people just like yourself in an environment that is designed to lighten the mood, moment and even your weight.

No of course if you are a seasoned lifter, then this is where we lift heavy stuff. Get your 1 Rep Max firing. Pick your weapon, squat…..deadlift……bench……push press and learn how to build this into a 1 rep max. This class is available to anyone that has lifted previously and has shown that they have the technique required to push the limits.

Rehab

Our Rehab membership is specifically for those client’s who are seeing physio’s and have a rehab program to follow and just require a gym to do it in.  Perfect connection with Powerhouse Physio which is 2 meters away.

Masters Class

Have you ever wanted to lift weights, perform some moderate to high intensity training and get your heart pounding, but felt that it best be left for the young folk? Think again! Time and time again research has shown that not only does resistance training improve bone density but regular bouts of moderate to high intensity work outs release the body’s natural feel good endorphins. Meet the Team

Suzie Goodall

Suzie began her career as a Registered Nurse before becoming a Sports Injury Nurse and Titled Sports Physiotherapist. Suzie founded Powerhouse Physiotherapy in 2005 and now specialises in injury prevention and athlete rehabilitation. Suzie is the trusted physio for many local, national and international sporting teams and is currently working with the Australian men’s hockey team (the Kookaburras). Suzie and Glenn know all too well the impact injury has on performance, this is why they teamed up to create Powerhouse Gym Mobility, Strength, Performance.

Glenn Turner

2 time Olympian and World Cup Goulburn Striker has well and truly made a name for himself in the Hockey arena. Glenn has always had a passion for health and fitness and knows the importance Mobility and Strength plays in not only performance but athletic development. This is why he developed the Academy for Teenagers. Sessions designed to improve Mobility, Strength and Performance in young upcoming athletes.

Bradley Kwong

Brad has always been passionate about fitness, exercise and eating well and so it was only natural that he would work in the fitness industry. He has been a PT for over 6 years having completed a Certificate 3 and 4 in Fitness as well as having a Certificate 1 in Strength and Conditioning. Brad’s specialty has been one-one training and creating targeted customised programs that deliver real results to the client. Brad’s favourite aspect of being a PT is not only the ability to educate his clients on how to lift weights correctly and exercise with good form but to motivate them so that they get the most out of each training session. This is achieved through on-going communication and building strong relationships with his clients.
Not only does Brad enjoy training others but he loves regular gym workouts, focusing on strength and hypertrophy training, and playing Indoor Cricket for the ACT and First grade outdoor cricket.
Brad’s aim as a PT is assisting his clients in reaching their full potential and reaching their health and fitness goals in a fun and upbeat environment.
